I absolutely loved this story! Even when I was annoyed with Alex for lying all the time, I could understand and sympathize with her reasons. Not many people could have experienced a trauma of the magnitude that Alex had and come out of it with their psyches intact. The description of this event brought tears to my eyes, and the true-to-life characterizations of the “mean girls” and the jocks had me wandering down the halls of my own high school once again. -B. I liked that this story was about more than just romance. Alex discovers her true self again and begins the difficult process of healing from the tragic event that changed her life. This is a teacher student romance, but I think the author handled it very well in a way that would not turn off people who are not fans of these types of stories. I would say that if you are unsure about reading this story, definitely give it a try because it will surprise you. -Trina
